Norway - Hordeland to Aurland

Norway was invaded by Germany in 1940, and Bergen was occupied by the enemy. The Germans started to advance towards Voss and Norwegian forces positioned themselves at strategic positions to halt their advance. One of those battles was fought here at the top of Brattefossen because of its view of the road. The battle was lost but this site remains a symbol of Norwegian wartime spirit of resistance and sacrifice.
